Simplicity In The MySpace Photo
Uploader
MySpace, one of the largest online social networks and
certainly one of the most used, has profiles that can be
manipulated in so many ways, such as through the myspace photo
uploader.
There are even ways to design the page structure of the
whole profile itself by using CSS and HTML codes but that can
get very complicated. For the less tech-savvy, the MySpace
people have definitely made customization simple and easy with
the various tools that one can use on their profile.
Before Uploading
Of course, like many other websites that do value decency,
MySpace also have a few rules that they have set for people to
follow before uploading their pictures on their profiles. The
simplest rule is that photos that are to be uploaded should be
friendly. This means that they should not contain any nudity,
violent or offensive material and MySpace also reserves the
right to delete profiles that violate that one rule.
The other rule is a technical one and this is one important
one that anybody using MySpace must keep in mind. MySpace
requires pictures to be in any of the two formats: GIF or JPG.
These are web-ready formats that the site accepts so that you
can upload your pictures onto it. The other rule is that that
pictures be less than 5MB (or less than 5000KB). This is
because MySpace can only give out so much space to users.
Uploading pictures that are larger will result in the
MySpace photo uploader rejecting the upload. So before parking
your pictures on your profile check that the pictures follow
the simple rules.
The Tool
The uploader that MySpace has provided its users is pretty
straightforward and simple. If the pictures are optimized for
the site and contain no profanity than one can easily just
select the picture that he or she desires to upload and then
simply click the upload button. The computer and the site do
everything else. The only thing that you need is an Internet
connection. Once the picture has been uploaded, a user just has
to wait a couple of minutes and the picture will be displayed
in the photo’s section of the profile and can even be selected
as the main picture that will be displayed on the profile’s
front page.
Improvements
MySpace has become one of the most popular sites for people
of all walks of life. Students, musicians, and even politicians
have learned that this online social network is an important
tool in communicating with people. So MySpace also has to
improve many of its services as well; and this is exactly what
the people behind the site are doing. It used to be that one
could upload only one picture at a time to add to profiles.
The tool has now been upgraded so that one can upload
multiple pictures. Of course, all the usual rules apply. Also,
one may have to wait a little longer before pictures are
displayed, especially if one is to upload more than ten
pictures at a time. However, this all boils down to the idea
that people love using the uploader and wanted to use it to be
able to upload more than just a picture at a time.
The limits that MySpace has set regarding the size of
pictures for each user profile are actually quite reasonable
since they can only provide so much space for each member of
the website. For the members, all they have to do is adjust the
picture specifications by using PhotoShop or any other image
editing software. This will make it easier for the MySpace
photo uploader to handle the task of parking pictures on
profiles.
