Various Photo Upload Sites That You Can
Use
When blogging, posting on forums, or upgrading your online
social networking profiles (such as on Friendster, Multiply, or
MySpace), you can decorate your entries with pictures via photo
upload sites. You can actually embed pictures to give your
posts and entries more personality and simple HTML codes will
help you do this. It’s simple and easy and all you have to do
is sacrifice a little time to make an account.
The Code
When using pictures that you have uploaded to free hosting
sites, there is one important thing to remember and that is the
code that you need to use so that they can appear in various
blog and forum entries or wherever it is you would like to
display them. This is the code that you can use for that to
happen:
<style type="text/css"><img
src="http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a172/username/sample.gif"></style>
The <style> tags are particularly important if you are
uploading to sites that do not support CSS. One example of a
site that does support CSS is Myspace. This means that you can
just use the <img src> tag by itself. This rule may not
be applicable depending on the image hosting site that you
use.
Flickr
One of the most popular photo upload sites in the world (on
the Internet) is Flickr. This is a great place
to start uploading your pictures especially if you have a
Yahoo email account. This is because everybody who is signed
up with Yahoo.com can use his or her account details
(username and password) to access Flickr and start uploading
pictures. Then, the URL locations can be copied and replace
the italicized address in the aforementioned code.
Flickr is easy to use and hassle-free. You just have to
choose the pictures that you want to upload and then simply
click the upload button. You can then have the option of
renaming and giving them descriptions later on. The other great
feature about Flickr is that you can browse through pictures
that other people have uploaded for public viewing.
Village Photo
Another popular picture hosting site is known as Village
Photos. What sets this apart from the rest is that the site can
be used to optimize your pictures specifically for use with
eBay, which is the largest auction and shopping website in the
world. If you have an eBay account, Village Photos is one of
the recommended few hosting sites for your pictures.
You also have the option of using an FTP program to upload
your pictures but this is optional because there are other ways
to upload the pictures within the site itself. Signing up to
the service is simple and it is free. Since it is closely
associated with the eBay website, you also have the option to
use other services in the site that includes certified eBay
Seller Tools.
Image Dump
An appropriate name for a site that only deals with images,
ImageDump is one of the least popular of picture hosting sites
but it is pretty much straightforward and is one that with the
least load times. This basically means that each time you do
access the site, you will get a simple directory listing of the
many members of the site (including your own if you have an
account there).
Using the HTNL code, you can embed pictures from this
website and have them display on threads or wherever you would
like the pictures to appear. The directory structure of this
site is similar to a computer so it’s an easy to use website;
and unlike other photo upload sites, it also features pictures
from other users on the site so that each time you refresh the
site, a new picture is displayed on screen.
